Oh my! Santa really likes you. How good did you have to be to merit that beautiful machine?

Sweet! I have never seen one up close. Please keep us informed when you get it up and running!

Yep, very nice. I just sold my CH Mk IV to another CB member. Its a good press, and fun to use. -- I would suggest you get a seperate crimp die. Its not necessary, but the 4th station is for that purpose. -- Enjoy!

CH4D still has parts for these machines. Nice gift from Santa. I have a 3-station CH press I'm restoring. A beautiful machine from reloading days gone by. I've heard on past threads about these and Stars. I wonder how many are still cranking ammo out these days.

Take care

Nice looking machine ! I used to have one, then like a fool thinking I would never own a 38 spec. I traded it for 4 lbs of powder to one of the gunstore owners here! It was the full load with the auto case feeder and the whole shebang. As it turned up I bought my wife a gp100 about 3 months later and began kicking myself repeatedly. The original owner of the one that I used to own apparently turned out literaly 10's of thousands if not 100's of thousands of reloads on it for the local police dept. for practice ammo and it still ran like a watch! Enjoy tour new X-mas toy!

Hi,
The Mark IV seris hold three actual dies as the powder assembly holds an expander to bell the case mouth like a Dillon setup. The Mark III Auto Champ only held two actual dies, which was fine for revolver but then when loading ACP cartridges another step was involved to taper crimp! Thus the evolution to the Mark IV!

That's interesting looking - never seen one before. Do they actually work? Do they make accurate ammunition?
