My wife has never been a shooter or interested in shooting but she finally took my advice to take the NRA class for beginners on handguns. Yesterday she told me she wants a solid pistol rest for Christmas.

Could be worse, she could be spending it on hundreds of pairs of shoes :-)

Boy I know that feeling...every change of season, every function we or she has to attend, or because they got a speck of dirt on them. 3 huge tubs full of shoes, barely worn, forgotten about..... I know the feeling!

My wife has a thing for cheap watches. Good thing she likes cheap ones !!!
So now, your new line can be " honey, I bought that because YOU needed it" !!. enjoy Mike

Sounds like good news to me. Buy her a copy of "Armed and Female" for Christmas.

I got my wife a PT1911 a few Christmas's ago.
She loves it. Quite comfortable with it now. Good shot also.
Enjoy her walk. She might teach you some new things. Or help you remember long forgotten things.

It's begun - You will shortly have two of everything. A pistol for you, a pistol for her, a shotgun for you, a shotgun for her, etc. Ask me how I know this.... :)

my better half is at least, finally, gettin' after the starlings, and other unspecified migratory pests, with her crossman bb/pellet gun. I hope to get her "on board" someday. rush

It's only money. lol At least it is something that some what hold it's value, could be a lot worse.

My wife started shooting a few years ago, This year she actually bought her own pistol and a holster. And so it begins. I have to keep 2 bricks of CCI SV in shooting stock at all times now.

Count yourself lucky!
My wife likes to shoot also and it sure makes my life easier. She doesn't complain when I spend time and money on my shooting/gun interests. All in our family like to shoot and it is one of things we do for family recreation. She even humors me when I go on and on about some little shooting or reloading break through or when I finish working on a gun. Only problem is she likes getting a new gun more than I do and on our budget it make it a little tough.
Good luck, jmsj

Get her interested in re-loading and cleaning the guns and you will have it made!
