I'll start off with saying, sorry no pics!!!!

I shot a 2.5 year old doe today with my 5" FA in 475. The shot was just shy of 100 yards. She was facing me and I pulled up held for the heart and let her rip! The 405 grain ballisti-cast bullet hit her right through the top of the heart and took out one lung and exited out her right rear leg after breaking it. She took off at the shot and went about 35 yards before folding.

I had planned on using my S&W 25-9 in 45 Colt this year. That was untill I got this FA back from Clements who cut its 7.5" octagon barrel down to 5" for me. All I can say is I think I have found a new favorite revolver! I can't think of a better way to break one in!!!!

Congrats, now we need pictures. Got to ask, why did you cut the barrel down?

Not real fond of revolvers with barrels longer than 6"and already have a 6" 475 so 5" it is!!!!

Good going and good shooting. I agree that pictures of both the deer and the "new" FA revolver would be nice.

Nuthin ever wrong with a revolver deer. With my eyesight fading I don't take 100yd shots anymore, glad that someone can. Good job.

Nice shooting! Can't beat that for breaking in the "new" sixgun. Surprising how those deer can make it that far with so much damage.

Good deal and a nice shot.
The .475 is something else. I have taken quite a few deer with it and it does nothing but impress me. It really puts a bust on lungs and heart but meat loss is low.
