I have a 1889 Marlin in .32-20 that needs some TLC. Wood is not so good, barrel may have been cut down, and rifling is gone.

Not sure what to do, would like a liner put in so that I could then scrounge up some wood and have a little shooter. Have been told a new liner will run 300 to about 450. And would need to be shipped to be done.

Is the value of the gun worth the hassle? I would like to be able to use it, some for sure.

I usually buy them in that condition...for a project gun, and do just what you're talking about.

Lots of fun and satisfaction when you're done, cause you've just brought it back to life. If it could only tell stories!

Have Fun,

Jon
