Good info to have on hand. I use Hogue grips on my AR rifles.

On the lighter colours and patterns if the WD doesn't work at removing deep stains try one of the waterless hand cleaners such as GoJo. Use the one without pumice and rub it in well with a bristle brush then rinse it off.

This GoJo idea came from the bicycle community where they/we use it for cleaning light coloured hand grips and spongey bar tape on the racing bikes. It works fantastically.
