Hey all.
Since some things have been a little topsy-turvey around here, I decided to take the 7.62x39 AR and nite vision out for a little outing. This is my first go with the recent NOE 311-155 group buy and to tell the truth, I did not even shoot it for group. I loaded up 30 rounds with 4227 up to near the base of the boolit and shot 4 for sight in. These were cast of air cooled WW's + about 3% (yeah, I was a little overzealous) and literally just checked to see if they impacted close. They did good enough, so on with the show. After a short walk, I came across about 4 or 5 30 pounders and this 75 pound guilt. Distance was around 80 yards. One shot, one kill.

And like my Samurai Sword, once it is drawn, it has to taste blood.54461

This is my first time uploading images with the new system, so bare with me, I will get it right...... Well, maybe tomorrow.

As a matter of fact, I have had that camera for 4 years now and the only time it has been right is on my honey-moon. And no, I wont post the pics to prove it. Hehehe.

That is the plan, though. Brine it for a couple days, bbq it, and make frozen packets of pulled pork for sandwiches!

Good to hear from you, Gear.

Aawww.... Hayyyeelll Naw.
I just got back from taking another stroll to another feeding area that we have where I put one of my feeder lights up at. The hogs knocked it down and trampled it to death. Ya know, a decent man just cant have nothin these days.
Well, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.
It's on now, you stinky ground rootin sons of guns. (Talking to the hogs, of course.)

Nice setup with that night vision scope. What generation nv is it? I could never bring myself to spring for the cost of nv, that there scope probably translates to four or five guns for me!

Hey Vern, That is a gen 3+ with a 3x magnafier coupled with a Aim Point 68 red dot. This has been my go to rig for years now and I will say, my favorite way to hunt hogs. I have other scopes (Gen 2's) but this is my favorite. IF my family survives the winter, LOL, Dad and I are saving pennies to get ATN thermal 6x scopes maybe in March. And of COURSE a couple new rifles! Might have to get an AR30 variant in 358 winchester or 338 federal.

....And three stout wenches to carry it around for you! How about an AR-10 in .358 Winchester with the thermal imaging system? I hereby volunteer in advance to help sight it in!

My new military BAR weighs more. Although no scope mount. Thank GOD that thing came in a pelican case with wheels.

Well, ya know Gear, I am gonna need someone to witness the first couple kills with the new system. Maybe you could bring the Mrs. with ya and we make a weekend of it.
I know I dont want to be the only one starting that weapon system off.
