i have not melted any yet but i think i am seeing some stick on weights that are now zink. has any one found them? i use to go after ww only when i needed some, but with it getting harder to get-- buy or free i now carry a 5gal bucket with me all the time. one person here started paying 20c lb where it had only been 10-12c. now ih is up to 25c. makes it harder to find. my advice is to get it while you still can.

Most of the zinc weights I have found have been of the stick on variety. When it is time to melt or when I first get a lot of wheel weights I put on latex gloves and handle every weight. Decide whether it is WW, lead stick on, Zinc stick-on, unknown that I don't want in my melt. Takes a little time but don't have problems with alloy. Generally do 5 gal at a time. If I had the quantities that so people get on this board I might do something different.
