I am loading for an AR in 6.8 spc and I would like to make 90 - 110 grain pills. What cases could I make the jackets out of? I searched and found nothing. If someone has any experience swaging jacketed 270 boolits, could you please point me to a thread? Thanks in advance.

Check the swaging forum for threads in the last week. There was just a thread where someone explained a procedure for swaging 22 mag brass up to as large as 7mm.

actually for .277 there is not a lot of options commercially. You can get set up to make copper tubing jackets. Or you can get a draw trim set to draw down 30 caliber jackets and then trim them to any length you want. Still expensive. you can make several draws on 9mm or 5.7x28 Probably the best IMHO is a trim draw set to draw down and trim .308 jackets down. You can just buy jackets from burger and maybe RCE

Hmmm. Looks like you only have to remove or draw down the rim and .25 ACP brass is just about right. Should be long enough for that bullet weight, too.

Nope, can't suggest where you might get it cheaper than commercial 7 mm or .30 jackets, but at least you wouldn't need still more expensive dies to draw down the jackets; a slightly undersize "bulge buster" push-through should give you .25 ACP ready to seat the cores.

Thanks, I pick up 25 acp, 5.7, and 32 jackets with decent success at the local range. I can get a couple hundred 5.7 cases a month and probably a hundred or so combined .25 and .32 jackets. Thankfully, the national forest range is halfway home from work for me. I get lucky about two days a week and beat the scrappers there. I plan on getting a set from btsniper to go from 9mm to 308. I guess he would be the best to talk to about the 270 dies also.
