Bought some of this last year and just got around to ingotizing it. Nice, clean smelting. Low melting point. Ingots cure quickly. Never used this alloy so I have a few questions for the experienced folks.

I have read that folks use this as a wheelweight replacement. I usually shoot 50/50 COWW/SOWW with about 2% Sn. Is this going to cast about the same? Will it Oven Heat Treat to about the same BHN?

Any other tips for casting with this? Best melt temp? Usually casting 429421 and 454424.

Here is a lot of info on it: http://www.fellingfamily.net/isolead/index.html

There are different compositions so hopefully you know which one you had to start. I cast mine straight for everything except hunting bullets. For those I add range lead and 95/5 solder to bring the antimony/tin levels to 2% each. I start w/ 96/3/1 isotope lead.

If you are near me in San Tan Valley, Az and want to see some, give me a PM.
I have it in the "core" and the "grey cylinder".

I bought it from you this past spring :) . Saw on the other site that you were back in the valley for the winter and that reminded me to melt those containers down.

Well my memory just kicked in. For some reason I wasn't connecting the handle to your name. It's embarassing, seeing that I used the same type of abbreviation in my last job...Frebri....
If you need more, let me know. I'm replacing my supply in San Tan tomorrow.
