Is that a .45? If so, I might be a Lyman 452460.

I have that boolit in an H&G mold, but beveled base [0.452 inch x200 grain]. I will have to check the number on the mold.

+1 for 452460. A great boolit by the way.

it is the 460.
i lube just the bottom groove otherwise they don't shoot well for me.
i only have about 50 left anyways.

It's a Lyman 452460 or a Saeco #451. I'm with RFR, I only lube the bottom groove on mine as well.

How come the bottom groove is lubed only, and what does this do to the bullet if both are lubed as in the picture. Does it do something to the accuracy or function of the bullet? Thanks to all.

Accuracy. My commander prefers only 1 groove lubed. It's not uncommon.

As long as you're not getting leading there's no harm. I can't think of a loverin rifle boolit where I lube every groove.

i had issues with accuracy also, when lubing both grooves.
even with commercial plastic lube it was just too much.
it was either floating in the bbl or not throwing the lube off properly.
either way one groove was enough.
