I finally got some time to fire up the Littleton yesterday. In 3.5 hours, I made 100 pounds of #6 shot. Not a bad production rate. Sure saves a bunch of $ with the price of factory shot being so high. Whenever I get another chance, I'll fire it up again and make #9s next time. Too bad the production rate is slower with the smaller shot. I figure I'll get around 70-75 pounds in the same amount of time. Still its a lot cheaper than buying it!

In my neck of the woods that would be $199.96 + 10% tax. At those prices the only thing it really pays to load for is .410.

Everything is going up. I can't understand how they can still sell factory shells so cheap!! It use to be you could save a lot by reloading your hulls but now after you figure in your time, your saving very little. A lot of the trap shooters buy ammo by the case or pallet and do a lot of shooting. Of course they own $3000 guns the money is second to shooting. I still enjoy reloading and will keep doing it.
