Anybody getting a Trojan warning when selecting forum page style? It is happening for me with all choices except the default style. I'm using Kaspersky anti-virus.

I would try getting "ad-aware" from lavasoft. Just google ad-aware and get the FREE version and run it, should clean up whatever you have.

I use Avast AV free and have not had any malware warnings on this site.

Have you kept your AV updated?

I can guarantee this website does not and will not have viruses on it. I personally use Avira, 100% free and updates itself every day automatically.

I had Kaspersky for awhile and had so many problems that I dropped it.

No problems here either. I use Microsoft Security Essentials updated periodically. BC

It's being blocked by Kapersky's, don't think I need anything extra, just puzzled by it.

"It" isn't being blocked. "It" doesn't exist. :)

I also use AVAST.

I seem to suddenly find 50-60 messages in my SPAM file each day. Never had that before.

i don't know about Trojan etc --- but as a warning i do know that after the recent update - i had to reformat my computer -- it was immediately after Dan tried coming to CB during the updates that we started having problems and the computer just would not function - it is fine since the reformat

WOW I was beginning to think Dan left you at the old place.

Welcome Tina.

I picked up six Trojan Horse viruses last Monday night and Tuesday morning (week ago), each had embedded in my DNS when I cleared per forum instructions. Three viruses each time. The only page I leave open is Castboolits, but I had other windows (to supposedly known safe sites) open at the time I did the dumps. The time of DNS clearing and contraction of the viruses coincided exactly, but I was able to remove and heal them with AVG. I wonder if others doing this action may have encountered the same Trojan somehow. Other computer, running a paid version of Malware Bytes, has no problems, but I haven't dumped the DNS on it and it's running this site just fine.

I found AVAST and it's the best that I've used. After using AVG, for 1 year 11 months, I scanned with Avast and found almost 300 script and Java virus issues. Those are gone now and the computer runs like a scalded cat! Ditch AVG, run Avast (it's a LONG scan....about 48 hours) and you'll have no further problems.

AVG will INSTALL malware on your computer to spook you into buying their products. I caught MalwareBytes doing that, too. The firewall download from ZoneAlarm will install their ads everywhere in your 'puter and it switched homepages of 4 of my browser options to their sites. Free downloads can go south in a hurry but Avast is one of a kind!

Virus Hacker attacks took down TEXAS GUN TALK and it's up now but barely operating.

Good luck with it!

Kaspersky anti-virus gave me all kinds of warnings when I used it, mostly from malformed scripts, not really BAD stuff. I dumped it when UK began handling it. I can see why TEXAS GUN TALK went down, VB!!!
