man i forget what fun this shiloh '74' 45-120 is. i had some loaded cases from awhile back that just begged to be released today so i took em out in the yard for their release and for my glee. they were loaded thusly...

lyman 457122 with the hollowpoint pin ground down so it is just a flatpoint just at 346 grain weight...sized .459 and lubed.
GOEX cartridge 120 grains.
lube cookie of 3/8ths inch...bee wax 1/3rd//crisco 1/3rd//peanut oil 1/3rd.
norma cases trimmed to 3.195 inch.
cci 200 large rifle primer.
compression on powder is .200 inch.
.060 inch over cookie wad.
.002 inch waxpaper overpowder disc.

these really scoot down range and burn up the atmosphere...just a bit of recoil so as to know your shooting something but wowww do they tear up the air going thru. what fun and someday when the weather is better ill chronny them just to see what the speed-o-meter reads.

if ya gots a 120 and wanna have some fun ... ya really should try these lite weight super express loads...they are the biss niss!

I killed a Zebra in early May with mine. Built on a Wickliffe action. Dumped him upside down...

I did not have time to get a good BP or 777 load with the 500gr GC version of the government boolit. About 75 (?)gr of Varget and a foam wad filler. 2170fps. I went with a proven load for the 450 NE 3 1/4" case.
