Got a 5pt 2.5yr old buck on the 15th. 65 yds broad side between 2ribs going in and hit 1 going out after a 75yd run he dropped. Myson told the guys in camp "Looked like you jabbed thru a can of red paint with a screw driver and removed it then walk down the trail ". My load for 9.3x62 is the NOE368-280 cast lyman#2/45gr Varget. Next one will have to get more bone to see how well the boolits hold up. Clint :bigsmyl2:

Good deal, Clint. I dont think most any deer is going to catch that fine slug and stop it.

I don't worry about finding the slug, just finding the deer as you did. ha ha. Nice deer!

Clint

This is a minor point, but AL at NOE list the mold
as 368 280Gr. FN 4 Cavity GC not NOE 280-368.

When I 1st read the post, I thought you were
shooting some kind of 270 Win. cast bullet.

That sounds like an interesting cartridge for boolits. Must be pretty good, enjoy the vittles.

Clint,

You have a lot of company in southern MI here on the forum. We should get a Michigan special group going so we could communicate on MI specific stuff like the EHD epidemic in the southern half of the lower. Congrats on the cast boolit harvested deer.

Thanks Edd this buck makes #7 with cast. As far as a Group I think that may be a fun thing! Maybe have breakfast or lunch some place after Deer season? Clint
