Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyones tried the Accurate 46-430V in a Marlin? I'm looking for a boolit similar to the Cast Performance 420gn WLNGC as they shoot great out of my Guide gun & hit real hard

Cheers Fellas

I use a GB mould for a 460420 plain base that is similar to that but without the gas check. Shoots great in my Marlin. I have run it up to 1700 with minimal leading. Used with 22.5 to 24 gr of 2400 it shoots very well and is ideal for under 100 yard deer hunting.

I doubt tha bullet will fail to serve you well. I would say go for it.

Hi Btroj thanks for the reply. I usually use ADI 2207 (about the same as 4198) for my hunting loads in the 45/70 but may try 2400 I imagine it would burn nice and clean in the short barrel of a guide gun.
Nice Zebra by the way.

2400 is great in a 45-70 for loads in the 1400 fps range.
I used that same bullet with H322 for a couple black bears. Shot great in the 1700 fps range. Lading was slight enough to easily allow 20 accurate shots before it needed a light cleaning. That type of leading doesn't bother me for a hunting load.

That zebra is now an even nicer rug.
