I had a friend that gave me over 1000 cast bullets that were lubed probably 20 years ago. This wax looks all dried out, very hard. I was trying to get this wax cleaned out. I have boiled the bullets, worked some,I put some dawn detergent soap in with it to, still does not get it as clean as I wanted,so I could re lube them. Are there any other ideas on how to clean, besides buy hand? Jerry

How about an oven at around 180 degrees?

Try using mineral spirits--soak 'em and then wipe 'em off with a rag. That should do the trick. BC

My oven has a minimum setting of 200. I wonder if that is standard....I dont know
200 degrees won't hurt anything.

I'm surprised boiling water wasn't 100% successful. The old lube will usually just float to the top and can be skimmed away once it cools.
A good soak in mineral spirits will probably take care of the rest, then wash them with Dawn again.
