where can i find a mold guide for a HERTERs lead furnace?

make one.
i made one for my magma pot with some 1x6 cut into a box and covered the open end with an old brownie pan and some sheet metal screws.
it's not really adjustable but it is the right height for lyman and rcbs molds.

My gosh, you must be as old as me! HERTER'S---WOW.
I wish I had the old catalog but it was so much fun to read it fell apart. I was one of those Jack Pine Savages! :bigsmyl2:

Install a piece of angle iron to a piece of 1/2" plywood. Now cut several more pieces to slide under your new guide till you get the correct height for each mould.:castmine:

When I need one and don't have one, I turn the ingot mold upside down and rest the mold block on the (now) bottom of the mold block.

It is easier to do than to describe.

I totally get what your saying, its a good idea and economical at that.
