I've discovered that a particular rilfe likes WQWW alloy best.

NOW WHAT to do with all of the other projectiles I've cast, sized, GC'ed and lubed...

I have a BUNCH of 35 cal projectiles that are just ACWW.

I may have to trade some.

Let them sit for 6 months and try them.

He has already lubed them!

just boil the lube off then oven treat them.
i'd go more in the 400 range they aren't more than 365-375 from the mold.

No, that's impossible. You can't just boil it off. The stuff is welded to the bullet and there will clearly be a complete loss of their home or an EPA involved scrub down to rid the home of the obnoxious odor :)

And to think, I never even caught the part about the oven being in the house!

Give the guy a break his keyboard is on the fritz.

Get another rifle. Keep adding until you get one that likes them boolits.

New(different) keyboard fixed it right up! Boil the lube off the bullets then skim it off the water and reuse. Now don't forget you'll have to lube them after OHT:)

Heat gun boolits on old cookie sheet in backyard...

I'm with the "boil it off" crowd.

Not hard to do and the lube is reusable.

I am guessing you have a pet load and don't want to lighten it up to use up these boolits?

I have a .303 that likes oven heat treated boolits so have generally gone down that road for it. Gotta feed 'em what they like.

Good luck with whatever you do.

nothing like 15lbs of cast and gas checked boolits boiling in a pot o water....... I may look into that...

but I really like the 'buy a gun till they work in it" idea. :)

Sometimes we get so caught up with trying to solve the problem, that the logical answer is overlooked. You mentioned that the boolits are 35 caliber, how about buying a Marlin 336 in 35 remington.

If you're going to heat treat them, be careful with the heat. Years ago I had about 300 lovingly cast 44 boolits on a cookie sheet in the oven. Darn thing got 5 degrees past the slump point, and before I could react I had a very large, thin ingot.

Darrell, if those are the 180's or 190's, I adopt orphans. I can even trade WW's or soft lead for em. My 357 Max would work nice with those.
