Anyone have a good load for this?

I ended up with a box of 180gr from somewhere and don't have the drive to work up a load for it.

Just something that's going to be fairly decent, I don't need sub m.o.a. groups with these particular bullets.

I've used that for just about all of my loads, but is a 'spitzer' the same as 'spbt'?

If so, then I have a load for it, but I've never had 'spitzer' bullets before:oops:

A Spitzer is a pointed bullet....> (not Round or flat nosed!)

I loaded them up with 45grains of IMR4895 and an OAL of 3.3

I loaded 5, going to see how they act tomorrow afternoon.

If that works out ok work up to 47.5 gr IMR4895; max load listed in Lyman's 49th and one that has worked well for me.

A good rule of thumb would be to get at least one reloading manual first-- then reload.

Where's the fun in that

I have 3 or 4 laying around, ABC's of Reloading, an older Sierra, and I believe the name of the other is Modern Reloading.

I don't think the ABC's has load data in it(didn't check). The Sierra didn't have anything 'spitzer' listed, wherein the confusion laid.

I don't know exactly where the other book is, I haven't seen it in a while, come to think of it.

The question was more of, "does anyone have a decent load worked up already, perhaps on a similar rifle, so that I don't have to go through the screws of starting with 5 and working up to a good load."

I don't mind working up a good load, but I've only the one box of 180gr, and don't plan on buying more. I tend to stay in the 130-165gr range on the .30 caliber bullets.
