That new Remington bore squeegee thingy looks neat, I'm on the quest to find who carries it and get my hands on a kit. I don't crawl out from under my rock very often or read gun rags, so tend to miss some of these newfangled products.

I'm like you, I keep finding that most of this new stuff is gimmicks, luxury/ not needed stuff, or only a marginal improvement. Yup, I get a surprise or two from time to time concerning new schtuff I haven't heard about. But it's like the 1911. In a firefight (if you have enough mags) you don't suffer much for not having a super duper whizzbanger.

I was glad to see Cameraland sports optics...I've bought 3 scopes from them in the last year...they have some mighty good deals.

Ya just gotta wonder how we did without all the fancy wiz bang gadgets on the market for all of these years. Dad cleaned his shotguns with a string tied to a nail that he would attach a brush to and then a rag to dras thru the bbl a few times. Shot a lot of birds and a few deer with the old Ithica.

New banner ads are costing me money! Or, in a way, SAVING me money. I grabbed one of the Sightron S1 scopes that SWFA was closing out, ordered Sunday night late and got it today via the Brown Truck. Got it almost half price even after paying sales tax, but I like supporting Texas companies and a few extra bucks in my state's General Fund doesn't hurt, either.
