Got a couple of pics of targets. First pic has a decent group of the 35-190 RD boolits. Had a decent group till the 5th shot. No other boolit seemed to want to group, but I did try a few Speer 220fp's to see what it would do. Not too bad @2345fps.

Second target has a bit better grouping. Its after I replaced the bolt. The 190gr RD boolit still looks fairly decent, but the NOE 359-190 has a decent group. A NEI 200rnfp shows promise as does the 35-200rcbs clone. Move that one shot (#3) from the RD boolit, up in the group and it is pretty good. Wondering about the NOE boolits. It is wcww's and might be pushing them too fast for the hardness.

Last target, I went to magnum primers. The sound from each shot was not consistent. I would get a hollowish sounding report now and then. Went with a harder alloy for all boolits except the RD, they were already wc#2. Think the velocity was too much for all boolits except the NOE 359-190. It liked the combination as shown in the upper right hand group, with the one called pull lower left. Tried a few Hornady FTX bullets. Had three touching with the other three out of the group. The high one was first shot after boolits, so might have been a lube purging. Velocity of the FTX was 2431fps and the NOE boolit was cruising 2661fps (I think, crono started measuring in meters/second, so had to convert)

Very nice !

Originally RD made a 359-180GC bullet and that one shot some very nice 3 shot groups in one of the Marlin 336ER's I had . The RD 359-190GC didn't do as well for me in the 356 WIN but was better in the 35 REM .

I killed a deer a couple years back with the RD 359-180GC in a Marlin 336ER . Deer was perhaps 20 yards from the base of the tree I was in and dropped right where he was standing when I shot .

The other 336ER I had got fed a diet of jacketed stuff handloads and factory stuff . Only deer I killed with that one was done in with a Winchester 200 grain factory load .

Have you tried a slower powder? I have have pretty good results with Varget and Accurate 2520 in my 356.

Actually, Leverevolution is slower than either Varget or 2520. I know I had very good luck with 2520 in my 35 Rem. Marlin. It is one I plan on trying later, along with Varget, 748 and maybe Re15. LvR works very well in my 30-30 Marlin, so thought I would try it with the 356 first.
