I am looking into trying some LVR for my newly acquired 35 rem. Is the powder as good as the internet makes it out to be? Opinions are appreciated.

LVR is all its cracked up to be, IMHO. I have loaded it in 35 Remington and fired my load alongside the 200 grain factory load. In terms of felt recoil and accuracy, the only standards I have (no chronograph), they were identical.

The bullet I used was the RDO 190 grain RNFLgc, sized to .359" and lubed with 45/45/10.

LVR is a fine grained ball powder that flows thru my Uniflow almost like water. Loads are very uniform and meter nicely. No hangups on "sticks".

I hesitate to quote loading data for personal reasons and I'm sure many here will understand.

Simply look up LeverRevolution on the Hogdon's website/load data and go from there.

I have also used it in 308 loads with the RDO 165 grain RNFLgc but seated out to the third lube groove. One hole 3 round group at 50 yards, again comperable to factory load recoil.

I have used this with my 308 marlin express. Shooting the rdo 165 grain paper patched, I got a decent start for a hunting load. It is now up to me to tweek it into a good group. BTW I got them from CCB.

CCB, when you talk about the 200 grn factory load, are you referring the the 200 gr. FTX load?

Who makes LVR? I've never heard of it, or are you referring to Hodgdon LEVEREVOLUTION?

Personally I had better results from IMR 3031 in my 35 Remmy 336 and a RCBS 35-200. Then again every rifle is different, just have to listen to them as to what they want....

Works great in my 30-30XLR and not too shabby in my 356win XLR

I really like LVR powder a lot. I use it for cast boolits in my .32 Win specials and with the RCBS 08-170 it gives the 180gr cast boolit a MV of 2300fps and superb accuracy. Just worked up a load in my 336W 30-30 that launches the 150gr Sierra FN bullet @ 2470fps MV and again accuracy is superb. My load using the 160gr FTX bullet in the 30-30 chronographed at 2326 fps. In my 336SC .35 Remington I got a respectable 2208fps with the 200gr HDY FTX bullet. No signs of any high pressures in all the loads I've worked up.

Awesome powder, have read Larry Gibson's posts about it and early results with my 32 Spl have been very promising, will most assuredly be using it in an upcoming 30-30 project. I'm using RD boolits in all my leverguns today and IMHO Michael's boolits like to be pushed fast and LVR does that quite nicely. I wanted to use it to propel RD's 359-190 in my 35 Rem but the RX7 powder is working for me now, it's a sentimental favorite of mine.
What boolit weight did you have in mind? I was thinking 38 grs under a 190 gr RD boolit but was going to approach it from 37 and work up from there.
