The lower bar of lead appears to be common plumbers lead, pure lead for all intents and purposes, very soft.

Top is Bell Systems telephone wiping solder for joining lead jacketed telephone cable. Should be 50-50 lead/tin.

The bottom stuff has the #4 stamped in it, it could be #4 hardware babbitt. How hard is it? Does it ring when you tap it on something hard?

It does sort of ring as opposed to a thud, does seem harder than pure lead.

Squeeze it in a big vice against a known alloy of lead, whichever deforms more is softer, you can then try it with a different known alloy.

I bet it is #4 hardware babbitt. Tin and antimony but mostly lead.

I googled the ingots and it came up as a foundry in Dallas, Tx. The foundry however, does not have a web site. I hope to give them a call.

MT Chambers, I have no known alloy to test them with other than pure lead washers which came off chlorine tanks at water well systems which are dead soft. Most all my lead come from wheel weights.

Evan, thanks for the info on the Bell Systems telephone wiping solder.

Thanks to all who answered,
