I recently picked up this Mould....a Saeco 37 double cavity. It was on the Cramer style handles, longer thin type.

It's odd in that the size of the blocks are thinner than usual. Other details are that the cavities are different. Two types of boolits, both nice fat 44's.

At first, I thought they were almost opposite of each other on the lube grooves, but after casting, they are just different boolits, the shape, everything.

Has anyone run across one like this? The issues are that the prior owner stuck awful screws in every hole, as in the wrong ones. I hope I can re-build it.

I thought I read once that Saeco would put two different boolit designs in one mould? Can't remember where I read it?

What do these weigh, Doug?

Doug - That boolit on the left needs someplace to put the loob. Maybe above the gas check ?? Neat mold, though. enjoy Mike

I've seen aluminum moulds "shaved down" so the cavities were shorter. Never seen an iron mould done that way, but I'm sure with the right equipment it could be done... That's what makes me curious about the weight. It would also explain the odd lube groove set up on the left boolet (as in the base band was milled away).
