I aquired a Marlin .45/70 1895 Cowboy a couple of years ago. Since I got it I had to replace the ejector and when I took it out today I had the lever jam in the downward position with four rounds in the magazine tube.

I had to Smack the butt on the ground to release the next round in the tube to come out and position itself on the lifter.

What part or parts am I going to have to replace or polish to get it to feed reliabley?

I believe I would most likely send it back to the factory or have a gunsmith look at it .

I've owned a pair of the 1895CB's and never had any trouble from either of them . But then one was still NIB when I traded it off .

The ejector is pretty common, wild west makes an upgraded one that has a good following.
Called bear proof ejector or something like that.
