Picked up around 200 lbs of mixed lead form a local guy. It belonged to his father who was an avid caster (who is long gone). Its a mix of various shapes and material.
I have WW alloy ingots, tin ingots, sticks of tin & antimony, soft roof flashing, small lead chunks and one large ingot and some large chunks of he same.

Can anyone ID the big ingot or familiar with the markings or what it is?
Its dead soft and I mean really soft. It weighs around 75 lbs.

looks like you have a couple of more chunks from another ingot there too, and the top hat looking thing [roof boot] should be dead soft too.

Thx. Guys,I knew someone could id it.

Next question is it " good quality" lead or a possible alloy?

You answered this yourself:

Its dead soft and I mean really soft.

Virtually anything you can add to lead hardens it. If the alloy is soft enough to raise a curl with your thumbnail, it's near enough to treat as pure lead, suitable for cap & ball revolver bullets or casting cores for swaging.

Any bets his RL is roofing lead, flashing- dead soft. Now all you need is a local guy for some clip-on wheel weights and away you go! Gtek

i was trying to work out the rl thing, roof lead sounds good.
if it were my f.i.l. he would have went through and wrote his initials on every ingot.
yeah i know.....try tellin him.

I am smelting it as I type and enjoying a Christmas ale ......

I separated everything and the "RL" is harder than roofing or cable sheathing so I am guessing its "range lead". It definitely is not dead soft. I ended up with around 8 lbs of tin , 8 lbs of antimony , a coffee can of gas checked rifle bullets lubed up ( makes good flux) and the rest soft lead.

I cut the big ingot into 3 pieces on my band saw and its soft in the core as well and I would call it "soft lead". Now to add some tin and maybe a dash of antimony and BAM!

that 75 lb chunk and a 25 lb lino-pig would make a nice 1/3 alloy.
