Sorry...I have no idea what a "CC11" is...

1893
93
1936
36
and the 336 family I am familiar with as all were made in '.30-30'...To my knowledge, Marlin never marked their guns '.30 WCF' as they did not want another manufacturers name on their guns...

I find no reference to "MOD CC11" on Google in regards to Marlin either...As you posted this in 'Leverguns', I assume it is a lever action with a tang sight?

Markings and pics would help...

i was posting from memory about the .30 WCF. it does say 30-30. the only markings i can find on it as per a serial # is CC11. yes it is a lever action w/a "bullseye" ? sight that folds into the stock . i have to go but will be back an about an hour and will drag it out of the safe and take another look then. thanks!

ok. took pics. means nothing. i just learned to use a rotary dial phone last week. but will try. gun says MARLIN SAFETY on top of reciever. Special Smokless Steel on bbl. CC11 i think on reciever under lever. i think it says 11. its worn.

This is a Marlin carbine, in my view, without saddle ring and with a shotgun butt. Perhaps a Model '93 made after World War I (bullseye in the stock) perhaps around 1922 ? Is there a star on the upper tang? You may have to remove the tang sight to see both a star, if there, as well as the marking 'Model '93'. Under the floorplate of the tang sight there should be stamped 'JA'. Hard to see the front sight on these pics. A close up of the receiver would be nice.

my two cents.

Short mag is a Sporting Carbine (SC)...

Enjoy the hell out of it!
