Brittle lead mess?

What was WW lead turned into a brittle mess. It actually clogged my lead melter and what a pain to clean. I am going to send a sample to get tested.

Try remelting it at at higher temperature, it may be you got some zinc in the melt and the undissolved portion solidified at your usual casting temperature.
