There is master caster on Ebay for 499.00 What is wrong with this machine? Seems it should have been bid on, am I missing something

Frozone, What would cost be to add your controller to this unit and can most of us add that equipment to the unit ourselves.

Now I can see it is more than just just surface rust and I don't think I'm savvy enought to deal with it. It is in Houston, so I con't know if that rust would be normal if kept in a shop , I woiuldn't think so. For research and calls I've made I would think best to get new guide rails and bottom spout,for sure, the other rusted parts may not be critical, but number one concern is the heater, condition of inside of the pot and valve and can you remove the pieces that need to be removed.

Is that a single mold set up ? I have never seen one and do not know what I am looking at.

The Houston area has the same humidity as Louisiana. My son in law's parents live there an refer to it as a swamp. That machine appears to have been outside but may have been in a patio. I lived along the Kalifornia coast for a while and everything rusted out quickly. I would not give $500 for it, you never know how deep the rust has gone. Rod
