I got some and lubed some of my remaining Missouri bullets 180 gr with it. The leading was reduced greatly. Pleasant surprize. Just thought i'd put that out there. I will be casting soon, but this makes me happy.

God Bless!

I find that when I buy commercial bullets that lead, a very light coat of LLA solves the problem.
I have been using LLA and as-cast bullets since Lee brought out LLA. Light coating (not amber/brown) is all I need.

yeah..it's hard to tell the coating is there without putting an uncoated one next to it.

I've found many of the commercially cast bullets lead barrels because they are undersze, ie.; I have 5, .44 Magnums and two have a groove diameter of .430", one at .431", one at .432" and only one has a groove diameter of .429". Most commercial casters offer only .429" or .430" (if you research you can find a couple casters that make larger) which is guarnteed to lead the barrels in my guns. Plus they usually have some kind of crayon for lube, and small bullets + poor lube = lots of barrel leading. Alox helps a lot to eliminate leading with these problems...
