I bought a .44 mag super blackhawk that was heavily pitted. I brought it home, took it apart and started the refinishing. Buffed it with a rubber wheel to remove most of the heavy pitting, then glass beaded it. Finally had a buddy that is a gunsmith reblue it for me and tap a hole for the scope mount. Total investment a few hours time and 350 bucks. Still on the look out for another cylinder.http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0194.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0195.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0199.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0198.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0201.jpghttp://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/blademasterii/IMAG0200.jpg

What a shame to have such a nice revovler mistreated like that.Did they find it at the bottom of a lake or what? Or left in a wet holster?

I would guess left in a wet holster. Think I will try the gunkote on the next one. I like the flat black look though.
