Hello,

i am looking for a receipe for lube for my .357 Mag.
The lube i am using in my .45 ACP is very accurate and i have no barrel leading.
But in my .357 mag accuracy is ok, but it smokes quite a lot and is very dirty. My hands are black after shooting.
Does anyone know a receipe for a quite hard and accurate lube for Mag loads?
I am selling my bullets to friends and they aren't happy with the smoke my lube causes in the .357
By the way....i am from Germany, so please just name ingredients i can buy here in stores, too.

Thanks a lot,

Manuel

What are you using for lube now?

The guys can probably tell you whats causing the smoke.

Hello,

my recipe contains Paraffin, Beeswax, Lanoline or vaseline, a little fully sythetic motor oil- about 2% and a little floor wax-about 1%.
Maybe i should put the ingredients one after another on a hot plate to see what smokes most?

Have you tried just Beeswax and Vaseline, why not? and what is that oil in there for? Are you shooting heavy nuke loads if not the beeswax and Vaseline will work just fine.
Keep in mind some combinations of powder/components smoke
