Any one have a idea as to how hard Monotype would be if water droped ? Thanks for any info:drinks:

waay hard and brittle don't drop the boolits.
probably in the mid/high 30's anyway.

Im just messing around with it trying to see how hard i can get the lead.And Yes i am bourd no job lol

i WQ once,just to try, Lyman #2 alloy....test only 1 boolit and it was 22 Bhn...very bright...
<our alloy will be definitly higher Bhn,over 30 !
just mine 1 cent

Mono @ 19% SB is extremely brittle and is already @ 26 BHN, too hard for almost all boolit applications.

Would quenching make it more brittle? Dunno, doesn't matter because 19% Sb is already way too brittle to be useful for boolits. You can actually break the nose off a boolit simply chambering a round.
