He has to be the biggest 3 pointer I ever got! He came in Sunday evening. I did a little rattling about 25 minutes before dark and he approached from downwind. I used a Winchester 94, 32 Winchester Special lever action and a Accurate Molds 32-170A at 2200 feet per second. Air cooled COWW plus tin with LBT blue soft.
Through the lungs and out, he ran about 100 yards in a half circle and piled up in view. The enterance had a 3 finger long slot between the ribs. The upper rear lung lobes and exit had holes that were close to the size of a golf ball.
The evening before I was in a portable stand in the bean field and had 8 yearlings and 2 does grazing. 5 were so close too but just couldn't bring the squeze to em.

nice i got 24 days to go yet
Thanks, he was broad side at 30 yards in the woods. He kicked his hind legs way up and took off in a arc and then ran in a couple small circles before he fell.
:holysheep do those cast boolits work. Will the J words ever catch up? :-)
What am I going to do with all of my Jwords? :takinWiz:

I'll have to send you a honorary three point club patch. I've been a life long member. Good looking vittles.

Very nice, love the ole .32 WS. He sure beats the spike i took with my 1894 .32 last fall!
Only problem i see is now you gotta update your signature!

Yep, got a little work to do. LOL I have to change my avatar to the "current deer year" as well.
The 32 is the fastest that I have pushed a cast boolit. I'm amazed at how it can split a milk jug full of water.
Look at the color patterns on heads of the two deer. They are from the same area, I wonder if they related?

Go the .32 Special and go for you.
Well the 45-300G strikes again! This time with AA 5744, 44.0 out of a Savage smokeless muzzleloader. Air cooled COWW with a BHN of 14. The load is out of the Savage manual and should be around 2200 FPS. This combo helped me get a young doe about 15 yards from my tree stand and down a slight slope.
She was nearly broadside and the boolit entered high on the left shoulder and came out low behind the right leg. I could feel bone fragments in the chest when field dressing and half of her heart was gone. The exit was a finger sized hole between the ribs. She didn't take another step and had blood on both sides where she laid.
