My new RCBS 45-270 SAA mould came in last Wednesday, today I got to try it out. I'm using an alloy of about 12 bhn, if I push hard enough I can barely make a scratch with my fingernail. I use a Lee 10 pound bottom pour pot and have a lyman mini mag pot that I ladle lead from to keep the Lee pot full, that way I dont have to add ingots to the Lee pot and wait for them to melt. After about 30 or so drops from the mould I was getting good Boolits. I will size and lube them tonight and throughout the week start working up a load for deer season. I will keep you guys posted.
