I got some 270 brass that has been sized to what I think is 25-06. Is it possible to open them back up or should I get rid of them?

Not knowing the history of the brass, how many x's fired, sized, and if trimmed for 25.06 resized back to 270 it will be short. 25.06 CL 2.494, 270 CL 2.540. IMO I would put them in the scrap bucket.:drinks:

Measure the necks and if it has been sized and trimmed to to 25-06, they will be a little too short for your .270. If I have any brass like the .270, .280 or 30-06 that has a problem, it is a candidate for me to anneal, size and trim to 8x57. I have about 50 or 60 that I resized from .270 to 8x57mm mauser and some reformed from .280, 25-06 and 30-06 military. No use in throwing away good brass. james
