Need to be briefed on this round. Been asked to make some reduced power rounds. Need info .Some of you are really good at this so I'll go with masters on this one. Thanks

160-170 grain cast bullet, 16 grains of Hercules 2400 (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=13425) should get you around 1600 FPS, cheap and accurate. Also works for .30-06 or any other full-bore military case.

14gr of 2400 under s 205gr boolit in my No4 MkII is ridiculously accurate. Use a fat enough boolit though. Most of us consider .314 to be minimum.

A 32-20 bullet ot the Lee soupcan sized to fit the bore and 6 grains of Trail Boss for a 32-20 dupliicate. A Lee 165 gr spire point for the SKS sized to fit and 12.5 of Red Dot makes a fine mid range load and will shoot as good as the gun.

Have done a search for Fat 30, Fatter 30, 314299, or .303 Brit, SMLE, Enfield? There's enough information already on the forum for a good long read. Then ask specifics. Take a look at 303british.com, also.

just use the basics of nose fit/bore, body fit/groove.
any load used in the 308-30/06 will work the same.
the 314299 if it will make a nose/body large enough will work well, the noe 316299 if not.
a 200 gr loverign design would work well in many of the 303's too.
keep the loads in the 1600-2,000 fps range and things should go well.
16-18 grs of 2400 will suffice.

I loaded some reduced loads with fast powder - shotgun powder - and although the results were good and pressure signs were 'non-existent', there was pressure sign in the case neck area, locking the fired case into a rust pit. This does not happen with normal high pressure loads. I have produced some seemingly very accurate cast loads with Varget. Those were only slightly reduced so are not what you are looking for. Ask JeffinNZ for more details. He's posted pictures of his results and they're worth striving for.
