357 Herrett Help

I want to shoot the 358009 in my 26in Encore barrel chambered in 357 Herrett.

In this picture I have the 358009 set .02 off the lands. Yes, the chamber is cut deep, LOL

Also, next to the 358009 is a 200gr FTX bullet at ruffly where is should be loaded for "book" loads.

The difference in case is ruffly .25 tenths. The biggest issue I have is just starting load data just because this titan is 270gr (the hollow point version) and I don't even know where to start. The heaviest bullet I have loading data for is a 200gr.

I did call Hodgdon today... ya... that was a bad experience... I actually got chewed out for even thinking up this idea.

Any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations?

ps, yes I need to trim my brass. LOL. I didn't even notice it until after I took the picture otherwise I would have found two pieces closer in lenght...[smilie=l:

Oh yes, I m getting 2400 fps with the 200gr Hornady bullets. I was figuring I could get 1700-1800 out of the 270gr. But that was surly an guesstimate...

I have shot that boolit in the 357 Herrett as well as a custom flat nose of the same weight. I will have to go dig for the load data. I cant remember for sure but seems like I was getting 1500 fps or so from a 10" barrel.
If you would PM me to help me remember your chances of getting the data from me will be much better

This data is dated 12/92 and has a noted temp of 0-F

The thunderbird t-680 is similer to wc-680 and win-680

fed 210- 1441 fps ES-23
powder - 25gn Reloader #7( Most likely Herculies pre Alliant)
CAUTION!!! these were max loads in my Contender. I have noted on these cards to reduce for warmer weather. Start low and work up!!!
