Kids are looking forward to trick or treating.

Me too, as I'll get a few pieces of candy too. :)

Yeah, and judging from the pics you posted last week, you wont need a costume either. That was scary enough

Our Halloween was a bit slow this year, only about 120 kids. Last year we had at least 200. They must have stayed home to watch political commercials. Nov. 7th can't come to soon.

P.S. Always buy the candy YOU like, not the cheap stuff. Left-overs. MMMMM.

We had the lowest turn out in 14 years. If we had 30 kids, I would be suprised. It was pretty rainy and windy, but our neighborhood has been in decline for years. It is kind of sad.
The ones that did make it out warmed my heart. Soaking wet, clearly freezing, but just happy as bugs running from house to house.

Since I moved here five years ago I have purchased candy every year and haven't had kid one come up the driveway (we are out in the boonies), so this year I didn't bother. figured if anyone did come, would give them each a buck and send them on their way. That way, no candy left over to dispose of (I'm diabetic and can't eat it)

Truth be told, even 'though the kids haven't a clue, the holiday has it's roots in pagan practices I'd rather not be involved in, so it's just as well.

This was the first year we gave out candy, in years past we were all out trick or treating with the three youngest daughters. This year was different. We only had about 12 come by the house, was disappointed but not many on our street (very busy street) had their lights on.

I had 11 total trick or treaters. Bought a bag of Almond Joys and Mounds.
I have a bag and a third left.
