can someone tell me if the press comes with a case feed assembly?
i understand that the collator is an accessory but does it come with the plastic tube and case insert mech or is that all part of the case feeder option.
i am looking at a new press and trying to make comparisons.

The plastix case feed tube and case insertion assembly are included with the basic machine. The blue bowl assembly with the electric motor and case feed disc is an option.

The 650 does come with the case feeder standard. What Dillon calls the case feed is actually a case collator.

This is one reason the base 650 costs more than the LNL and why the Hornady "case feeder" costs more than the Dillon, as it includes the collator and all the parts to feed the case into the shell plate.

i understand. i think i will get a 650 for 223. seems like the best value since i can not justify 1700 dollars for a 1050.
should i order it straight from dillon?

Ratboy;
the 650 will not swage military brass primer pockets, that is the big advantage of the 1050
I have spent hours swaging primer pockets.
the 1050 also does not have the warranty that the 650 has. thats the down fall
both are a good press.

the case feeder on the dillon 650 is optional 218.95
also the case feeder comes with one feeder plate and if you change cal you will need to change plates, they are small rifle ,small pistol,large rifle and large pistol and those's are38.95 to 49,95.

I think there is also a "Magnum large rifle" plate... I know they make a pistol, rifle, and magnum rifle powder bar as well..

For clarification, again what they call a "case feeder" is just the collator.

They make 4 different powder bars. The two that come with the 650 covers most everything you will need, unless you go really big or really small.
