I'm not sure that this is the place for this thread, but I trust I will be informed on the proper protocol very shortly.
Earlier this year I sent a pair of 8x32 Venturer II binoculars to Nikon for a good cleaning and adjustment. I instructed them to notify me of any applicable costs and that I would forward payment immediately. After about four weeks the binoculars were returned to me in absolutely stunning condition. They practically looked new. These optics had been purchased used in the mid 1990s and have served me well; their compact size, light weight and clear lenses made them a perfect hunting binocular. The best part is, the work done by Nikon was absolutely free as they advised that the binocular was still under warranty! If that's not great service, I don't know what is.
Kudos to Nikon!
