The Winchester 30-30 was introduced as a smokeless powder round in the 1894 model. Every model 1894 and 94 were constructed , designed etc. for shooting and reloading with smokeless powder so you don't have to worry about the steel being for blackpowder, If it's in good mechanical shape it will be safe with factory , or factory equivlent loads. Don't try and hot rod the old ones, remember they are over 100 years old now.

Still trying to figure out exactly what choot means. lol

I don't think gun broker has a blue book per say, but you can get an idea what your models has sold for.

because on the Swamp People show the cajuns (my cousins) have to have crawlers on the bottom of the screen so you know what they are saying. when its time to take a gator out they yell "shoot it" but being the lords of enunciation they are....its come out as "choot it". my moms family are from LA in the lake charles area and in the 60's when the cousins would visit we kids could understand about one out of every ten words they said. . my grandfather would have to translate. one went to to basic at ft.bliss where we lived and he said his drill sgt. had to have another one translate for him. said he had no idea he didn't talk like the rest of the world.
