I was sorting through some brass and found some 40s that have flute marks on them similar to what I would expect to see on .308 brass fired out of an H&K rifle.

I am wondering what gun does this to 40S&W brass??

MP5 in .40 S&W. Coharie Arms produced an SP89 and an HK94 clone in 9mm and .40 S&W. Both will flute your brass.

Thank you both.

Now I need to get to the range more often and meet the guy whose brass I found!
Sounds like he has some interesting stuff.
