Tom made it from my sample from a TC mold.As drawn the diameter in fine- its just a bit heavier than the original TC maxi.In a Crockett it shot about 1"-1.5" at 50 yards.

Harrympope - Does it have a hollow base? And do use soft lead or harder alloy? Thanks.

I read a article years ago, where a guy used a .32 and Maxi-Balls to kill a wild hog. I'm not saying I would try it but with a stout load and good penetration it would work. Hey, I know a guy that kills'em with a .22 all the time.

its a maxi not a minie so its a solid base.I used pure lead.A HB 32 would be pretty interesting.

I can send you a handful from the TC mould to try if you pay the postage. Any more than a handful would be prohibitivly expensive from up here.

Grullaguy,

Sorry so long in responding, I've been chasing deer in Colorado.

Thanks for the offer, Marshall623 is going to send me some.

However, what are you shooting yours in, and are they working good?

No reason a maxi with a stiff charge shouldn't kill ok up close. Pretty close to an M1 Carbine or a hot .32/20 when you stop and think about it.
