Why a 250? That is going to be a very short bullet, will shed velocity fast and likely not be the most accurate past 50 yards. Is this cast or jacketed?

No idea on data, much depends on desired velocity. If you want lots of speed I don't know, otherwise use around 13 gr of Unique and have at it. this is for cast, for jacketed I have no idea.

I experimented with this extensively. I wanted a chicken load that would be mild and accurate for silhouette shooting in my Marlin Cowboy. I polished out a 454-424, I bought a 456-401, beagled a 454-190 as well as a 452-389, tried Speer .457 and .459 round balls and none of them were very accurate. All tended to give fliers. I tried Unique, Herco, 4759, 2400 and Red Dot. The lightest boolit I found to shoot well was the 457-191, which runs just under 300 grains. 20 grains of 2400 with a Bamboo Filler gives me the lightest load that I have yet found that works well.
