It works. I used my Star and put a different lube in only some of the grooves. Shot just fine.

Tis bullet will work well with many different lines.

I have that mold for my Marlin 1895 LTD-V and it is one very accurate boolit. I do not tumble lube or pan lube. I run the RD 350 gr. though my Lyman lube-sizer using a .460 sizing die. I have used both White Label BAC and 2500 and no leading in the barrel.
Accuracy was 1 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards. I lubed all lube groves when sizing.

I use a Lyman 4500 with a custom made Buffalo Arms .461" die . Usually I use Thompson's Blue Angel or RCBS rifle lube hence I need a heater .

Generally I push them with H322 as hard as I can !

I have shot the 350 to 1700 or more with Varget and 4895.

H322 would be a great choice too.

H322 for me atleast has done very nicely in the 45-70 with all of the following ,

RD 460-300GC

RD 460-350GC

RD 460-425GC

BRP 462-465GC

BallistiCast 462-550GC

And thats a 250 grain swing , I thought that unto itself was pretty remarkable !

I have found my Marlin 1895 to be easier to load for than anything else. It just doesn't mind what powder or bullet I feed it, it just plain shoots.

I have used Varget, RE7, 4895, H322, Benchmark all with good results for heavier loads. I tend towards 2400 for lighter loads.

I shot a couple black ears with H322 and a 40420 plain base using 46 GE. Gave right at 1650 and was quite accurate. Bears didn't like it very well.

I would have no problems using any of the powders listed above. They all work well.

I have loaded the lee 340 with a dacron filler and 2400 soft recoil and accurate at 100yards has any one tried this with the ranch dog 350?

I have shot many bullets, including the 350 RD, over 24 gr of 2400 with no filler. I find that 22.5 gr with a filler gives similar velocities.

That's my preferred load for all 45-70 shooting, 22.5 gr of 2400 with a bit of Dacron. Works well with any bullet I have tried it with.

Should give around 1400 fps and would be good on deer.

I've messed with H332 (of course) , RL7 , Varget , Benchmark , IMR4198 , VV N-120 , VV N-130 , VV N-530 , H335 , XMR2015 , XMP5744 , SR4759 , RL10x , XMR2230 , W748 , IMR8208 , IMR4227 and H4198. Most of them did well enough for hunting purposes , some of them did a whole lot better and a few weren't that hot . But as any other rifle it may work in mine but not yours and vice versa .

I've killed two blackies in my entire 51 years of existance and both of them were killed in the last 3 years . I might add both were killed with a single cast bullet pushed with a nice charge of H322 . The first in 2010 was shot at 9 1/2 yards with a 444 shooting a 375 grain bullet from a Mountain Molds mold and in 2011 I killed another at 70 yards with a single shot from my circa 1966 "Retro 444P" shooting the LBT 433-340GC bullet from a mold I had Veral cut a couple years ago .
