Need help with gas checks

Hello everyone I have never used gas checks before. I will be loading for a 7.7 arisaka and I do not know how to choose the correct gas check. I also am going to load for my Tokarov. I know pistols are not usually required to has a gas check but since I am using lead bollits for both and I need some help deciding

The 7.7 Arisaka should use the standard .308 gas checks. I use them on my AK and it is .313. I don't usually use them on my pistols unless I'm shooting magnum loads.
