Ok, I've got a good 35 cal mould so targets and deer must beware when those guns are in the field!

turning my attention to 8mm bullets now, may as well get a mould before prices go up too much...

Was thinking of a good 180-200 gr flat point, (big flat point preferrably)...

any suggestions on what mould would take deer well with that?

Looking for a GC design, FP.

................None of the mainstream mould makers off an 8mm slug like that. Mid-South offers the Karabiner and Maximum, special order Lee 8 mm moulds, but both are heavier then your mentioned weights.

Other then those, you might try Mountain Moulds.

blammer, i have a mold from lbt i think its is. its the one that come with the gooffy spru plate that has both spru's connected. its a 238 grain long flat nose 8mm fat, .329 dia. the boolit looks like a BIG 30-30 boolit. i bet if you could get that design in the right dia. it would work great. it will shoot a 7\8 inch group at 100 in my 1886 kropatschek rifle. -phil[smilie=2:
