Has anyone used these? They are listed on ebay for $42.50, it says they are caliber specific and adjustable for trim length. For use in 3/8 drill, I was thinking about chucking it up in my small drill press. Also says they trim perfectly square and clean (no need for chamfer or deburr). Looks like a quality tool and the seller has good feedback.

I have used one. There are **minor** improvements that could be made but overall a good solid tool. If the case is rough trimmed or cut at an angle it will jerk the case out of your hands. Use a glove.

If this is for blackout/whisper/300-221 shoot me a pm for a tip.

The tool uses a standard end mill cutter so there is no way it won't leave any burrs. Deburring and chamfering will be needed especially if planning to load cast boolits. The WFT is similar except that the shell holder portion is mounted in a ball bearing. Do these work? Yes but be aware of the limitations.

I have converted over 3 thousand pieces of 223 to 300 blk. CTS trimmer is the last step and then I put them in the tumbler with SS media. The case mouths end up very smooth, I have not chamfered or deburred any of them.

The CTS works well. I have them in 30-30, 30-06, 223, and 460 mag. I need to see if he will make a 30 carbine trimmer as well. I rarely debur my brass. I use a bell/flare die to knock the inside burr off, or load boat tail j words, and a slight crimp is enough to knock the burr off the outside of the neck. I made a really nice looking motorized base for my CTS trimmers and I can also put a deburring tool in it to do inside or outside necks and I can also clean primer pockets. The same can be done with a hand drill as well. So far it is the fastest and easiest way to prep brass, especially for the money.

I just finished 2.5 gallons of 223 and this trimmer worked awesome. No problems with the brass grabbing. Even with sore fingers. Now to deburr and chamfer. Thats going to take some time.

It only takes a second to debur the inside and another second or two for the outside of the case.........literally.

Check out this adapter:

This is the type of deburring tool I use in it: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/789334/le-wilson-chamfer-and-deburring-tool-17-to-45-caliber

A photo of it setup in my motorized base:

The adapter is a 1/4" shaft and will work in your drill or drill press. I put a sleeve on the shaft so that it is 3/8" and fits the same motor that my CTS trimmers go on. I also turned down a lee primer pocket cleaning tool to fit the same 3/8" tool holder. I only had to smooth the knurling to make it fit, but the tool could go into a drill chuck without modifying it.

I agree, only takes a second to deburr. I've also have been slowly working on a "prep station" also. I working with $10 Chinese geared motors, and adapters I cut on the lathe to hold 8-32 bits. Initial testing shows that all should work well.

I have been researching these trimmers this evening and think I am going to have to give them a try. I have 1,000 .223 cases sitting on my bench that I started on this afternoon. I don't think my hands are up to trimming them with my Lyman.
