Die remover-xtra threaded rod?

With my gifted Star sizer, came a die removal tool. With the tool came a short piece of threaded rod. What is that for?

Once you remove the punch, used to size the bullet, and screw in the piece to receive the small rod it is used to remove the bullet left in the die from your last sizing operation. Once removed, loosen the screw retaining the sizing die, remove the short rod and run the long rod up through the die and remove the die.

or grind the head/point down on a drywall screw and use it and the punch to push out the last boolit.
